The passengers'  access to platforms is permitted only after tickets are validated by the fare collection system. Price valid from 28.03.2015.

For 10 trips ticket, full price monthly pass with unlimited trips or 50% discounted (for pupils, students and blood donors), full price monthly pass with limited trips (62 trips) or 50% discounted (for pupils, students and blood donors) which, due to technical reasons, become faulty [does not grant free access “LIBER” any longer or during verification appear “REFUZAT” (refused) or ”COD DEFECT”(faulty code) messages], but are in good condition, in terms of physical integrity, is initiated the replacement procedure with new tickets of the same kind, or refund the value of unused trips, in any station with a cash desk after they were verified by the commercial personnel located at the metro station access during the normal working hours.
The Replacement is being made as follows:
 a) 10 trips ticket, refused after a number of used trips is being replaced with a new ticket of the same kind, and the passenger will have to pay for the used trips, as follows: the number of used trips x 1 trip fee (Lei 1,00).
The number of used trips will to be considered, as mentioned on tickets (printed by validators or written by the control access staff) by deduction of not used trips from the initial 10 trips credit.
 b) Monthly pass (unlimited trips) at full price or 50% discounted (for pupils / students and blood donors) refused after a certain number of days in use, is being replaced with a new pass of the same kind, and the passenger will have to pay for the involved number of days in use, as follows: number of days in use x 1 day fee (Lei 1,60 for full price monthly pass with unlimited trips and Lei 0,80, for 50% discounted pass with unlimited trips).
 c) Monthly pass (62 trips) at full price or 50% discounted (for pupils / students and blood donors) refused after a number of days/trips, is being replaced with a new pass of the same kind, as follows:
 - if during additional verification, the number of used trips can be determined, the passenger will pay the price for those used trips, as follows: the number of used trips x 1 trip fee [Lei 0,60 for full price monthly pass (62 trips) and Lei 0,30 for the 50% discounted monthly pass (62 trips), respectively];
 - if during additional verification, the number of used trips cannot be determined, the passenger will pay the price for the used days, as follows: the number of used days x 1 day fee [Lei 1,00 for full price monthly pass (62 trips) and Lei 0,50 the 50% discounted monthly pass (unlimited trips), respectively]. For full price monthly passes with unlimited trips or 50% discounted for pupils/students and blood donors, as well as for full price monthly passes (62 trips) and 50% discounted (for pupils/students and blood donors), the number of used days is established taking into consideration the first date of use until the replacement date.
The replacement day is being considered not used. If the date of first use corresponds with the replacement date, the faulty ticket is being replaced with a new ticket of the same kind.
The refund is made as follows:
 a) For 10 trips ticket, refused after a number of used trips, the passenger will be refunded the value of unused trips, as follows: the number of unused trips x 1 trip fee (Lei 1,00). The number of unused trips is determined taking into consideration the inscriptions on the ticket (printed by validators or written by the control access staff) by deduction of not used trips from the initial 10 trips credit.
 b) For full price monthly pass (unlimited trips) or 50% discounted (for pupils/students and blood donors) refused after a number of used trips, the passenger will be refunded the price of unused trips, as follows: the number of unused days x 1 day fee (Lei 1,60 for full price monthly pass with unlimited trips and Lei 0,80 for 50% discounted price).
 c) For full price Monthly pass (62 trips) at normal price or 50% discounted (for pupils/students and blood donors) refused after a number of days/trips, the passenger will be refunded the price for unused days/ trips will, as follows:
     - if during additional verification, the number of used trips can be determined, the passenger will be refunded the price for the unused trips, as follows: the number of unused trips x 1 trip fee [Lei 0,60 for full price monthly pass (62 trips) and Lei 0,30 for the 50% discounted monthly pass (62 trips), respectively].
     - if during additional verification, the number of used trips cannot be determined, the passenger will be refunded the price for the unused days: the number of unused days x 1 day fee [Lei 1,00 for full price monthly pass (unlimited trips) and Lei 0,50 for the 50% discounted monthly pass (unlimited trips), respectively]. For full price monthly passes with unlimited trips or 50% discounted (for pupils/students and blood donors), as well as for full price monthly passes with limited trips (62 trips) and 50% discounted (for pupils/students and blood donors), the number of unused days is established by taking into consideration date of use until the replacement date.
 The replacement day is being considered not used. If the date of first use corresponds with the replacement date, the faulty ticket is being replaced with a new ticket of the same kind.
Warning!  For tickets sold until August 5th, 2011, the refund for the involved number of trips/days used, with respect hereto, will be made applying the old fees, Lei 0,90/trip/10 trips ticket and Lei 0,90 applicable to a single day included in a monthly pass (62 trips).
2 trips ticket and single day pass are not subject to replacement. These will be treated by the commercial staff according to the internal regulations into force. For passengers entitled to free trip titles under Law no. 118/1990, Law no. 189/2000, Law no. 341/2005, disabled people under Emergency Government Decision no.102/1999, Metrorex retired staff and their family members, war veterans in the country and their family members, “Alstom” family members, the tickets replacement will be made in Gara de Nord 1 Station, Y exit, Administrative Office. For passengers entitled to free trip titles “Colaborator” and “Sportiv Metrotrex”, the replacement is being made at the Administrative Department located in Palat CFR building.

In case of strike during the monthly passes validity period, the passengers may ask for refunding only after expiring the monthly passes validity period, as follows:
 1. For full price monthly passes with unlimited trips: Lei 1,60 per each day of strike, at any pay office within the metro stations, based on the expired pass;
 2. For full price monthly passes (62 trips): Lei 1,00 per each day of strike, at any pay office within the metro stations, based on the expired pass;
 3. For 50% discounted monthly passes with unlimited trips for pupils and students: Lei 0,80 per each day of strike, at any pay office issuing such kind of passes within the metro stations, based on the expired pass;
 4. For 50% discounted monthly passes (62 trips) for pupils and students: Lei 0,50 per each day of strike, at any pay office issuing such kind of passes within the metro stations, based on the expired pass;
 5. For full price monthly passes with unlimited trips for blood donors: Lei 0,80 per each day of strike, only at the pay desk issuing such kind of passes in Piaţa Unirii 1 metro station, based on the expired pass;
 6. For 50% discounted monthly passes (62 trips) for blood donors: Lei 0,50 per each day of strike, only at the pay desk issuing such kind of passes in Piaţa Unirii 1 metro station, based on the expired pass;
 7. For weekly pass: Lei 2,10 per each day of strike, at any pay office within the metro stations, based on the expired pass; 
 8. For full price monthly passes with unlimited trips available on ACTIV card, issued by RATB pay offices: Lei 1,60 per each day of strike; for full price monthly passes (62 trips) available on ACTIV card, issued by RATB pay offices: Lei 1,00 per each day of strike, and for the weekly passes available on ACTIV card, issued by RATB pay offices: Lei 2,10 at any pay office within the metro stations, based on the cash voucher.
